Why RHOME
-
What are the advantages of hiring a property manager?
A property manager handles the day-to-day demands of your rental, including property listings, showings, tenant inquiries, tenant screening, rent collection, maintenance, legal compliance, and more, so you can enjoy the income without the headaches. For investors with multiple properties or those who live out of the area, professional management is especially valuable. -
How does RHOME's pricing work?
Our fees are competitive and structured to align with your success. Typical arrangements include a monthly management fee based on a percentage of collected rent, plus leasing fees when we place a new tenant. We'll walk you through the full fee schedule during your initial consultation. -
What should I look for when choosing a property management company?
Look for licensing, local market experience, transparent fee structures, technology that gives you real-time access to your property's performance, and a track record of responsive communication. RHOME checks every box. Our dedicated local teams deliver personalized, hands-on service in your market, backed by the national strength of Associa, the largest HOA management company in North America. -
How does RHOME help me stay compliant with landlord-tenant laws?
Landlord-tenant law varies significantly by state and municipality, covering everything from security deposit handling to notice requirements and fair housing rules. RHOME's local teams stay current on applicable regulations and ensure your leases, screening practices, and operations remain compliant. -
What experience does RHOME bring to managing my property?
RHOME's teams have managed over 50,000 homes for individual homeowners, investors, and institutional clients. We operate locally in markets across the U.S. and Canada, combining national resources with on-the-ground expertise in your area.
Getting Started
-
Can RHOME take over management of a property that already has a tenant?
Absolutely. We transition occupied properties regularly. We'll review the existing lease, introduce ourselves to your current tenant, and get everything set up in our systems, typically with minimal disruption to the tenant relationship. -
How does RHOME market my property to find qualified tenants?
We list your property across major rental platforms, conduct professional photography when appropriate, set competitive rent based on current market data, and respond quickly to inquiries. Our goal is to minimize vacancy while maximizing the quality of applicants.
Financials & Legal
-
How quickly can RHOME find a qualified tenant for my property?
Average time-to-lease varies by market, season, and property condition, but our proactive marketing and established processes are designed to fill vacancies efficiently. We'll give you a realistic expectation based on current conditions in your area. -
What does RHOME's tenant screening process look like?
We conduct thorough background checks including credit history, income verification, rental history, and criminal background screening. Our goal is to find tenants who will pay on time, care for the property, and fulfill their lease obligations.
Leasing & Tenants
-
Do I have to allow pets in my rental property?
No. The pet policy is your decision as the owner. We can advise you on the pros and cons. Pet-friendly properties often attract a larger applicant pool and can command higher rents, but come with added wear-and-tear considerations. If you do allow pets, we have well-refined pet screening and policies in place, including appropriate pet deposits or pet rent, to help make accepting pets and managing them during tenancy a win for everyone. -
How often does RHOME inspect my property?
We conduct regular property inspections, typically at move-in, move-out, and periodically during tenancy. Inspection frequency can vary by market and property type. You'll receive reports through your owner portal. -
How does RHOME handle maintenance and repair requests?
Tenants submit requests through our portal or by contacting our emergency 24/7 support line. Our team coordinates with qualified vendors, approves work within agreed spending thresholds, and keeps you informed. Emergency issues are addressed immediately.

Does RHOME offer any guarantees on rent, evictions, or other services?
Specific guarantees vary by market and service package. Some locations offer eviction protection and other enhanced coverages through our Landlord Protection Plus program. Ask your local RHOME team what's available in your area. -
Am I able to use my own preferred vendors for repairs?
This depends on your management agreement and local policy. While a property is vacant, you are welcome to do whatever make-ready work you would like on your property. When a tenant is living in the property, we need to screen who is accessing the property for the protection of the tenant-residents, so we use our pre-screened and pre-approved vendors. If you have a favorite vendor, send us their contact information. We are always looking to add new high quality vendors to our group! -
What happens if there is damage left by a tenant?
We conduct a thorough move-out inspection, document all damage with photos, and apply applicable security deposit funds toward repairs. Any costs exceeding the deposit are pursued through your lease agreement. You'll receive a full accounting of deductions.
